Who is Clever. Props?
Jon Griffingham is an Australian circus artist, coach, and prop-builder.
After graduating NICA around 10 years ago, I found myself in need of some Hoop Diving hoops. As a fresh graduate, I only knew one person making them, but couldn’t afford the price tag of such an elite set of hoops right away. Obviously, I took a trip to the hardware store, and gave it a crack.
They sucked.

So I started all over again, learned what not to do, and made my first set of functional hoop-diving hoops. Since then, I’ve continued innovating with designs, materials, and features - culminating in my Stage-Proof hoops with detachable base and programmable LED displays.
Alongside this, I’ve also been honing my woodworking skills, and have designed and built multiple CNC machines and 3D printers. All of this expertise is now available, through Clever. Props and Creation.
Because circus props need to be functional… But they’re better when they’re Clever.
